The firm aims to achieve the highest professional standards.
We expect our people to demonstrate courtesy to and respect for colleagues, clients and others at all times. We have policies and procedures in place to underpin this culture.
We have a supportive working environment and will not permit anyone to be treated unfairly on the basis of prejudices or assumptions.
We wish to recruit and retain the best possible people. Our recruitment, training and promotion opportunities are open and are decided on merit. Arrangements for selection procedures can be made to suit individual requirements.
As a firm we also recognise that people want to develop their careers whilst also managing their personal responsibilities. We therefore arrange flexible working where we are able whilst still providing our clients with the access to our people that they deserve.
We select our suppliers (including expert witnesses and barristers), contractors, agents and others with whom we deal on the basis of their ability to provide us with their goods or services and whether they comply with our environmental policy. We discuss the choice of experts and barristers with our clients and make recommendations based on skills and experience. In return we ask that clients make their choices on this basis as well because we cannot accept instructions to discriminate.
Partners take responsibility for the firm’s overall approach to equality and diversity and review it annually. Any complaints will be taken very seriously and dealt with via our procedures.
We subscribe to the Law Society's Diversity and Inclusion Charter.
