Martin Laver read criminology before transferring to complete a Diploma in Legal Practice in Exeter.  Martin qualified as a legal executive in June 2007 having joined the firm as a trainee in 2001.  He has spent the last 7 years developing his practice as a litigator in a broad range of areas, principally employment and civil/commercial disputes and non contentious contract drafting.  He also has a niche practice in Inheritance Act and Contentious Probate claims.

In employment, Martin advises business clients on a daily basis on all aspects of employment law from recruitment to complex TUPE issues.  Whilst dealing with civil/commercial litigation, he advises on a broad range of disputes from sale of goods to passing off, advising both private clients and businesses.  Martin writes articles on employment law and civil/commercial disputes and blogs on Tozers employment blog.  Martin also contributes to the firm's regular employment seminars.

Outside of the office Martin enjoys fishing in his boat, exploring foreign cultures, photography, reading, all manner of sports and a good round of golf (which he admits is rare!).
