  Joined Tozers in 1987 having qualified as a Solicitor in 1985. Patrick Towey is a Partner and specialist family practitioner and was formerly Head of the Family Department, carrying out that role for over 7 years during which period Tozers Family Department expanded greatly and became and continued to remain recognised in Chambers Directory and the Legal 500 as a division one department for family law.

Patrick is a Resolution accredited specialist with particular specialism in advanced financial provision and domestic abuse.  He is also a trained collaborative family Lawyer through Resolution.

He is named in the Legal 500 as having a "general family practice".

Patrick lives in Torquay and is married with three children.  He graduated in law at Sheffield University and completed his training contract in Manchester, having spent his formative years in the North West of England.

Patrick is an experienced family lawyer highly regarded by his colleagues and peers and his main areas of work are divorce and separation with a particular expertise in financial issues arising from that, private law children work, domestic violence, cohabitation and pre-nuptial agreements.
