Rachel Rowles Davis is a solicitor specialising in Planning and Highways Law working for public and private sector clients throughout England and Wales.

Planning experience includes negotiating planning obligations under Section 106 of The Town and Country Planning Act 1990 (including affordable housing and agricultural ties), as well as planning applications and appeals, planning enforcement, the issue of revocation certificates of lawful use, the issue and variation of site licences under The Caravan Site and Control of Development Act 1960 and diverse planning advice to private householders, developers, holiday and mobile home park owners and local government.

Rachel has advised clients on a wide range of highway issues, in-house and in private practice.  These include agreements under Sections 38 and 278 of The Highways Act 1980, footpath diversion, stopping up orders, rights of way and highway adoption and maintenance issues, permanent and temporary traffic regulation orders, duties under The Traffic Management Act 2004, and the enforcement of offences under The New Roads and Street Works Act 1991.

Other local government work includes judicial review proceedings, Local Government Ombudsman complaints, village green applications and the making of compulsory purchase orders.

In her spare time, Rachel keeps a small flock of chickens and enjoys literature, art, textiles and family life.
