Barry Hayes qualified as a solicitor in 1984.  He is a partner in the litigation department with substantial experience in High Court litigation including maritime and commercial matters plus acting for insurers.  One of his particular specialisms is defending personal injury claims.

He also has extensive knowledge of the complex costs issues that can often arise at the beginning and end of cases.

Although not born there and whilst still lacking the distinctive accent, Barry is now very much an adopted Bristolian.  He is a past chairman and secretary of Bristol Marine Insurance Association and a past vice-president of the Insurance Institute of Bristol.  He is also a devotee of the round ball game played by the red half of the city.
