Solicitor Helen Headech, who specialises in town and country planning and environment law, has joined Tozers LLP, building upon the firm's long established practice.
Helen gained her experience in this complex area of law whilst working at North Devon District Council's legal department, where she was head of contentious law, and more recently in a local firm.
Announcing Helen's appointment, Tozers head of property, Richard Thorneycroft said: "Helen's experience of working in local authority planning and in private practice means she brings the best of both worlds to our firm. Our planning and environment team has seen a strong sustained growth over the years, and Helen's appointment will enable further growth with clients both locally and nationally."
He continued: "We act for property developers, park home owners, registered social landlords and local authorities as well as individuals, and coordinate with experts from other professions when required. Whilst many law firms are able to deal with the conveyancing aspects of property acquisition and development, there are relatively few able to additionally offer specialist advice in the related complicated legal issues of planning. We are delighted to welcome Helen to Tozers."
