Earlier this year one of our recruitment agency clients suffered the irritation of a claim by the notorious "Mr B".
This gentleman trawls the web looking for recruitment ads which could be construed as discriminatory in one way or another. Our "Mr B" has no intention of applying for the job but he brings a discrimination claim anyway just based on the wording of the ad. Fortunately we were able to get the claim struck out on the grounds that it was vexatious and hopeless. Others have been less lucky and we understand that many businesses have been pressed into paying claims like this off to the tune of £1,000s.
