Will writers

Many people will have seen the recent Panorama programme on the subject of unregulated will writers.

Articles on the subject (and the related administration of estates) have also appeared in the national press:

You will probably be surprised to learn that writing wills for fees is not a regulated occupation – anyone can do it, with or without relevant qualification or experience.

There are, of course, some will writers who produce sound, competent wills, just as there are some solicitors who produce incompetent wills. The point is that solicitors, and legal executives who work with them, are regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and are obliged to have professional negligence insurance. If it goes wrong the insurance will pay for it to be sorted out if it can be, or for compensation to disappointed beneficiaries if it cannot.

Tozers LLP's will writers are very experienced – our total team experience is more than 100 years and your will is dealt with by a person with the appropriate level of knowledge and experience for the issues involved.
