Richard King and Martin Laver of the law firm Tozers LLP ran workshops for Devon charities at this year's tenth annual 'Get Involved' conference.
As head of the Tozers' charities team, Richard King tried to lighten the 'doom and gloom' which many delegates feel during a deepening recession and showed how charity trustees can protect themselves from risk and liability in difficult times.
Richard, whose charity law master class was well subscribed, said: "We were delighted to sponsor the Involve conference for the third year running as this conference really benefits charities and voluntary groups in Devon."
Employment specialist, Martin Laver, gave charities advice on how to adapt and survive with a flexible employment strategy, covering issues such as volunteers, fixed term contracts, re-organisation and redundancy.
The lawyers at Tozers are well placed to advise charities of all sizes, given that the legal industry 'bible' – the Legal 500 – which has just been published, has recognised Richard King and his team of experts yet again for their work in this sector.
