Families take legal action in meningitis cases

Stuart Bramley of Tozers comments on articles in today's Daily Telegraph and Daily Mail. "These two separate instances of failure to diagnose meningitis is evidence of a worrying trend of delays in diagnosis of this horrendous condition.  Having handled several cases of failure to recognise this infection, I am troubled by the increase in cases of this nature.  This follows advice from the largest insurers of General Practitioners in England and Wales, the Medical Defence Union, in August this year that highlighted the rise in cases of this nature."
