Four partners in one department become 'Leaders in field'

Exeter solicitors in Tozers LLP's medical negligence and personal injury department are celebrating as all the partners in this department have been nominated 'Leaders in their Field' by the legal bible Chambers & Partners.

Head of Tozers medical negligence team, partner Tim Dyde, is delighted that his team has been singled out in this way and said: "We are achieving substantial compensation on behalf of our clients and making a real difference to the lives of people who have been injured as a result of medical accidents. We have a large and very experienced team engaged in this work, who over the last eighteen months have settled twenty-six cases for clients all over the country for a total of over £22 million in damages."

Tozers LLP's family law department are also celebrating as two of them have been nominated 'Leaders in their Field'. Tozers' family law partners have a longstanding reputation and have been recognised often over the years. In the 2011 edition of Chambers UK, Graham Bond (Exeter Office) is once again 'Leader in Field' and is joined by Tony Wood (Newton Abbot office).

Chambers UK comments on Tozers' family team:

"This small firm has a strong reputation for public law. The four-partner family team boasts collaboratively trained lawyers and childcare specialists. It regularly acts for guardians in complex care cases.

Graham Bond is a senior ancillary relief practitioner. Sources say: "He is an approachable lawyer, a calming influence and a delight to work with." Tony Wood deals with all aspects of family work, with an emphasis on the representation of parents, children and guardians in public law proceedings. "He has a phenomenal work rate and is very enthusiastic," according to interviewees."

Chambers UK comments on Tozers' medical negligence team:

"With core strength in paediatric claims, the lawyers in this four-partner Exeter team generally handle high-profile claims. The firm "benefits from its small size and family atmosphere," which means clients receive attentive and personalised service.

Qualified nurse Tim Dyde "is hugely enthusiastic and looks after clients superbly." He heads the team and focuses on claims involving children. The "terrific, enthusiastic and bright" Endurance Arthur has experience of a range of claims, including those involving brachial plexus and cerebral palsy. Stuart Bramley is "meticulous and analytical: he will see a case through to the end." He specialises in claims arising from fatal accidents and hospital-acquired infections. Tony Mills specialises in Erb's palsy cases, and recently obtained one of the highest ever settlements for that condition on behalf of a client."
