Fixed Fee - Housing Advice Service
Many clients take advantage of our Housing Advice Service (HAS), paying an annual all-in fee for unlimited telephone and e-mail advice. The intention is that we will be able to give you all the routine housing management advice which you need.
Benefits of HAS
The housing fixed fee advice service is a genuinely innovative way to deliver cost effective housing advice; the fact that it is on a fixed fee retainer works as a positive incentive to take timely advice before a difficult situation gets out of hand. That includes:
- advice - unlimited advice by telephone or email on housing issues such as possession actions, disrepair, nuisance tenants and rent arrears
- jointly working with you whilst not being on the court record, to ensure that proceedings are correctly drafted, court directions complied with and your housing officers are properly prepared in advance of hearings
- documentation - standardised pre-court documentation for internal use by housing officers
We add value to our housing advice service and keep you up to date in the followings ways:
- Newsflashes - We e-mail newsflashes where the new legislation or case decision is sufficiently noteworthy to warrant immediate notification to our clients.
- Factsheets and guidance notes - from time to time we produce factsheets which are short factual summaries of the salient points of a piece of legislation in a question and answer format. Typically we produce factsheets before or shortly after the Government has implemented a new set of regulations. We also produce a range of guidance notes which are intended as handy aide-memoires which can, for instance, be given to line management.
- In-house seminars and training courses - We have an extensive programme of seminars, training courses and workshops which we are able to deliver for you in-house.
