Solicitors swap clothes for charity

Devon firm of solicitors, Tozers LLP, has appointed FORCE cancer charity as its Charity of the Year for 2011. The first event being organised in Tozers' Exeter Office is a Clothes Swap.

The way it will work is that staff and their family and friends are being asked to donate unwanted Christmas presents and unloved items from their wardrobes and, from 5pm on 3 February 2011, these can be purchased at Broadwalk House (2nd floor). It is a chance to pick up a bargain and raise money for a local charity which helps those diagnosed with cancer and their families. All are welcome to attend.

There will be refreshments on offer and Sarah Willocks, the Fundraising manager for FORCE, will be at the Clothes Swap evening. This means that FORCE cards and bags will also be available for purchase on 3rd February as well.

Endurance Arthur, partner and Chair of Tozers' newly formed Corporate and Social Responsibility committee, comments: "It is exciting to be part of this new initiative to get the whole firm more involved in the local community by supporting FORCE as our first Charity of the Year. Traditionally, Tozers has supported a wide range of charities and will continue to do so, often because an individual in the firm works closely with a specific charity, but we decided that we wanted to formalise our involvement by adopting a Charity of the Year and involving the whole firm in efforts to raise money for that particular charity."

Fiona Grafton-Smith, HR manager for Tozers and also on the CSR committee, says: "Whilst we will endeavour to raise as much money as we can for FORCE during the course of the year, we hope that we will all have some fun along the way."
