Gorwell, Frankmarsh and Heppenstall Action Day – Thursday 2nd June

The idea was to tidy up the area, by involving the community, police, Tozers solicitors, and NDH staff. There was: a recycling area including recycling items for the Freedom Centre; sign cleaning by children; a street sweeper; skips and the rangers removed large items (one item per householder).

Volunteers helped with litter picking, hedge trimming and general tidying up. As a reward for all the hard work there was a BBQ, courtesy of Lesley Brown from Frankmarsh stores.

Joe Warren, legal executive in social housing at Tozers LLP, comments: “My colleagues and I attended the North Devon Homes' action day for the second year in a row. Tozers LLP takes corporate social responsibility very seriously and because the social housing team work very closely with housing association clients it is an extremely useful and beneficial way for us to help associations and their residents by mucking in and supporting them in a different way than we would normally.”
