The first swath of Community Budgets are to be rolled out to the 16 initial areas with around 50 more areas expected to receive Community Budgets later this year and another 60 during 2012-2013.
This new funding will help local agencies create better, more coordinated services, for tackling families with multiple problems that have hitherto cost a disproportionately high amount of money due to the large number of agencies separately involved in dealing with their issues.
