The Government has accepted all ten recommendations proposed by an independent review on IP, conducted by Professor Ian Hargreaves.
Among the key recommendations accepted is that the UK should have a digital market exchange where licences in copyright content could be bought and sold and that copyright exemptions would allowing limited copying of CDs, for example, something which is currently illegal.
A new IP Crime Strategy has also been announced which outlines how the IPO will continue to enforce IP crime domestically.
