A report today published by the High Pay Commission, an independent body studying pay in the private sector, claims that Directors' Bonuses have increased by 187% since 2002 (http://highpaycommission.co.uk/).
The Department for Business, Innovation and Skills said it would study the report, which it called "interesting" (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-14781254) but High Pay Commission Chairman Deborah Hargreaves has suggested the evidence suggests that performance related pay has little impact on a company's overall performance.
