We are pleased to announce that Devon WIldlife Trust has been chosen by our partners as our Charity of the Year 2012.
Devon Wildlife Trust is based in the local community and helps to deliver a healthy, thriving natural environment - a Living Landscape – by working with people. Vernon Clarke, partner at Tozers and trustee for Devon Wildlife Trust comments: "Devon Wildlife Trust is a registered charity working to make Devon a Living Landscape in which wildlife on land and in the sea is varied, plentiful and widespread. The Trust works towards this by securing the future of key wildlife sites, promoting the sustainable use of Devon's natural resources and increasing support for wildlife in the County. Tozers LLP has been a corporate sponsor of Devon Wildlife Trust for many years and has seen its membership grow from under 10,000 to over 32,000 members!"
2012 is particularly exciting for Devon Wildlife Trust as it is their fiftieth anniversary and we are delighted to be supporting them during this special time and at their Festival on 28 April 2012. In order to do so, we are encouraging our staff to donate their time by volunteering to help DWT on its many nature reserves, undertaking practical jobs like bracken bashing. The firm is also putting in place a schedule of fundraising events for the year so keep an eye on our latest news section for forthcoming events.
