Academy Network Conference - Manchester

The Academy network is hosting a conference to "connect  academy professionals together allowing best practice, knowledge and information to be easily shared. The network has been created by practitioners who have experience in supporting the leadership team within Academies and understand the importance of professional networking opportunities in Education." 

The theme is "Sharing Excellence Leadership Event".

Richard will be leading a workshop on Academy Governance entitled "I've signed up; what am I in for?" and this will give a concise overview of the legal implications for both directors and business managers of new academies or those that are thinking of converting.

Francis Clark South West Academy Conference

Francis Clark hosted a free seminar for schools already converted or considering converting to an Academy on 7th October 2011 at Buckfast Abbey.

The seminar was very well subscribed with over 100 attending.

Richard King's talk, which concentrated on the duties of Governors under trust, charity and company law, was very well received getting many positive comments from attendees.
