Disputes about Wills and probate

It is a fact of life (or death) that sometimes there is disagreement about how a deceased's estate should be distributed.

There may be arguments about what the Will means or there may be no Will at all. Wills, especially if not professionally drafted, are unclear and occasionally they have not been validly executed. Disputes can arise over what property the deceased is actually free to leave in his or her Will and jointly owned property can cause particular problems.
