Alternative Dispute Resolution
The Alternative Dispute Resolution for Consumer Disputes (Amendment) Regulations 2015 which came into force in January, place obligations on businesses, including Parks, regarding the resolution of consumer disputes.
Following the introduction of the Regulations all Park businesses, when they are in the process of dealing with a consumer dispute, must provide the consumer with certain information.
Further obligations are imposed on Park Owners who trade via a website. Following the introduction of the Online Dispute Resolution Platform, Park Owners who trade online must provide their own email address and information about “alternative dispute resolution” (ways to resolve complaints without going to court).
