Keep Calm and Carry On

The UK having voted to leave the European Union on 23 June 2016 it remains to be seen what effect this will have on the national holiday and residential parks industry.  The UK remains a member of the EU and therefore subject to EU laws and existing UK legislation pending a negotiated exit.

One consequence of Brexit has been a weakened pound however this can be viewed in a positive light as it has been forecast that as a result there will be a significant rise in “stay-cations” which will be of benefit to the parks industry as well as to the tourism market generally.

Tourism businesses have been encouraged to “keep calm and carry on” in the light of this forecast.
