Simon Mansfield Achieves Accreditation onto Law Society’s Clinical Negligence Panel
Simon Mansfield, Associate Solicitor and Clinical Negligence specialist at Tozers LLP, is celebrating achieving accreditation onto the Law Society’s Clinical Negligence Panel.
Clinical Negligence cases are exceptionally complex, requiring the input of a solicitor with particular skills, knowledge and sensitivity and Law Society Accreditation is designed to differentiate true experts in this field.
Of approximately 140,000 practicing solicitors registered with the Law Society in England and Wales there are currently only 350 who have satisfied the Law Society’s stringent competency and expertise criteria to achieve Clinical Negligence Accreditation. Simon’s success means that 4 of Tozers LLP Clinical Negligence Team are now accredited Clinical Negligence Specialists.
Simon joined Tozers LLP as a Trainee Solicitor in 2009 and qualified into the Clinical Negligence Department in 2011, dealing exclusively with medical claims. Simon has
experience in a range of claims from delays in diagnosis to catastrophic spinal injuries but has a particular expertise in Erb’s Palsy cases.
Simon has a track record of winning some of the most difficult Erb’s Palsy claims, including those where other solicitors have previously advised the case should be discontinued and he has also achieved some of the highest ever settlements for Claimant’s with Erb’s Palsy.
Tozers Clinical Negligence Team has a wealth of experience in this area and are probably the leading National firm in terms of number of Erb’s Palsy claims that they have conducted over the last 20+ years. They also have strong links with the Erb’s Palsy Group, a national charity which offers advice, information and support to families affected by Erb’s Palsy. Tozers have worked closely with the charity for 24 years offering our support to help them achieve their aim of increasing awareness and promoting better understanding of this condition. The group strives to reduce incidence rates through education and training of the medical profession but also to promote better treatment, by early referral to specialist centres.
Commenting Head of Clinical Negligence, Endurance Arthur, said:
“Tozers Clinical Negligence team is over the moon that Simon is now a Law Society Panel member. It is great to see his hard work and level of competence to undertake Clinical Negligence work recognised at a national level.”
