Ben Bradshaw at Businesswise
On Friday, 16 May, accountants, bankers, property agents and business owners came to the Jurys Inn, Exeter for Tozers Solicitors LLP’s business club, BusinessWise. James Orpin, Corporate partner at Tozers introduced Ben Bradshaw MP and Jamie Warren, Head of Marketing and Commercial at Go2 Events. Go2 Events are the organisers of Exeter’s Great West Run and Jamie explained how the Run is being sponsored by Tozers this year and how Devon Air Ambulance Trust (DAAT) has been appointed as the official local charity sponsor. Caroline Creer, Director of Fundraising at DAAT, attended BusinessWise to promote the free places for Exeter’s Great West Run that they are giving away to runners who will raise a minimum of £200 in sponsorship for DAAT. Jamie also encouraged those present to enter into the Great West Run Company Challenge.
Ben then spoke about Business in Exeter and Chris Lorimer, a guest at BusinessWise, tweeted afterwards:
“Great lunch with @TozersLaw with @BenBradshawMP showing great confidence in #exeter economy @exeterchamber – 16 May”
Ben also conducted an interesting Question & Answer session after his talk and joined guests for lunch before heading off for his next engagement of the afternoon.
James Orpin, corporate partner at Tozers who chaired the Friday lunchtime meeting, comments:
“We were delighted that Ben Bradshaw MP was able to speak at “BusinessWise”, the Tozers’ business club, and we had our largest turnout to date of the club. The purpose of BusinessWise is to provide a forum to discuss specific commercial topics of common interest and to share information on any other wider business issues our guests might have. Meetings are held three times a year at the Jurys Inn, Exeter and attendance is free of charge but places are limited and allocated on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. Our next meeting will be in September.”
