The role
We are one of the few firms in the UK excelling in medical negligence claims and independent Legal Directories attest to the fact that we offer a quality service to families and individuals throughout the UK. Priding ourselves on the high levels of client care that we give to all of our clients, you will be joining a team that is dedicated to achieving the best possible outcome for our clients.
About you
You will be confident in communicating with our clients and, under our lawyers’ direction, will be comfortable ensuring that clients have the information they need if our lawyers are engaged elsewhere.
Your standard responsibilities will include opening, closing and archiving client files, using the firm’s IT systems and packages, liaising with clients and other parties on behalf of lawyers and dealing with emailed or telephone enquiries as appropriate.
You will also be responsible for document production, case management and assisting lawyers generally with administrative responsibilities.
You will be literate and numerate, have excellent communication skills, be very well organised and work accurately with good attention to detail. You will be able to work on your own initiative, as well as under supervision, have a ‘can-do’ attitude and will be happy to adapt to the requirements of the tasks facing you. Ideally you will be able to demonstrate your problem-solving skills and how you have used these in your previous positions.
An ability to work closely with team members and a willingness to work as part of a team with the aim of achieving a common goal would be beneficial.
Three A-levels or equivalent and a degree are preferred but not essential. You may have had some previous legal work experience or be able to demonstrate a genuine interest in law, but extensive, hands-on training will be provided by CNI team members
