Tozers’ growing Wealth Management Team is looking for a Legal Assistant to support them in the management of their busy and varied workloads in Teignmouth. 

 

What you’ll be doing

Your standard responsibilities will include opening, closing and archiving client files, audio- and copy-typing, proof reading and updating dictated work, dealing with emailed or telephone client enquires, document production; dealing with requests to retrieve or store documents such as deeds in the strong room and assisting lawyers generally with administrative responsibilities. 

 

What we’re looking for

We pride ourselves on the high levels of client care that we give and anyone joining the Wealth Management Team will have our clients’ needs at the heart of everything they do.  You will be confident in communicating with our clients and, under our lawyers’ direction, will be comfortable ensuring that clients have the information they need if our lawyers are engaged elsewhere. 

 

What you’ll have

You will have previous experience of working as a Legal Secretary or you will have recently completed your university studies and will be looking to begin your career in law.  Experience within a Private Client or Probate Team would be welcome. 

You will be very well organised and will enjoy organising others.  You will have a ‘can-do’ attitude and will be happy to adapt to the requirements of the tasks facing you.  Ideally you will be able to demonstrate your problem-solving skills and how you have used these in your previous positions. 

An ability to work closely with team members and a willingness to work as part of a team with the aim of achieving a common goal would be beneficial. 

We are open to candidates from a variety of backgrounds.  You may be an experienced Wealth Management Legal Secretary looking for the next challenge or you may be at the start of your career looking to build a challenging and rewarding career.
