Changes to Court Fees – 6 March 2017

Park owners

From 6 March 2017 paid hearing fees will no longer be refundable if the claim settled before the hearing date.

This change will not affect cases where the Court has given notice of the hearing date and it has taken place before 6 March 2017.

In addition the payment of a hearing fee for a case allocated to the Small, Fast or Multi Track in the County, Queens Bench or High Court must be made no later than 28 days before the hearing date.

Where a hearing fee is not paid in time the Court will issue an automatic strikeout order of the claim/counterclaim and the claimant/counterclaimant will need to issue fresh proceedings, or apply to reinstate the claim/counterclaim and make payment of the appropriate fee.
