Consumer Cancellation Rights
On 13 June 2014 the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 (“the Regulations”) changed a consumer’s right to cancel.
The Regulations apply to all park owners who sell goods, services or digital content to consumers either online or away from the park owners’ premises.
Where the Regulations apply, a consumer will have the right to cancel the contract within 14 days without giving any reason or incurring any liability. If the consumer decides to cancel the contract within the 14 day cancellation period the park owner may be required to refund the consumer their payment in full.
The right to cancel within 14 days does not apply to a contract entered into at the park owners’ business premises.
