The Consumer Rights Bill

UK consumer law is currently undergoing reform with the passage of the Consumer Rights Bill (“the Bill”) through Parliament.

The Bill is intended to increase consumer rights and also bring together the many existing laws into a single code. Parks may need to review some trading practices and in particular how they deal with consumer complaints.

The Department for Business Innovation & Skills (“BIS”) expects the Bill to come into force on 1 October 2015. We will be outlining the implications for parks in future blogs and our newsletter for subscribers to our Parklaw service will look at them in more detail.
