Family law partner completes London Marathon for DAAT
Tracy Lambert, partner at Tozers Solicitors LLP in Exeter, ran the London Marathon in four and a half hours on Sunday in aid of Devon Air Ambulance (DAAT). Tracy was given a place in the London Marathon by DAAT and her Just Giving page raised £1,611, exceeding the target she set of £1,500. Rachel Elliott, business development manager at Tozers, comments: “It is a tremendous achievement of Tracy’s to run her fastest ever marathon and to raise £1,611 for Devon Air Ambulance less than 6 months after she raised £1,282 for them by running the New York Marathon in November.”
Fortunately, the weather was cool and dry on Sunday. Tracy reports: “The London Marathon was very well organised and I was delighted to receive support from other marathon runners who saw on my running vest that I was raising money for DAAT and let me know that they were also from Devon. An air ambulance is such a valuable and essential resource for any rural community and I am keen to give the charity as much support as I can through my marathon runs.”
Tracy is considering Berlin for her next marathon but will also aim to run in Exeter’s Great West Run which is sponsored by Tozers and takes place on 18 October 2015.
Last year Tracy, kitted out in Tozers’ trademark purple running vests, was one of the 20 runners for the law firm that ran the 13.1 mile race in aid of DAAT. Entries for Exeter’s Great West Run sponsored by Tozers open at 8am tomorrow.
