Food Information for Consumers Regulations 2014
On 13 December 2014 the Food Information for Consumers Regulations 2014 (“the Regulations”) came into force. The Regulations require all park owners supplying food to provide specific information on 14 common allergies to ingredients such as gluten, egg and peanuts.
The Regulations apply to both unpacked food, such as those sold in cafes and restaurants, and pre-packed food.
Where a park owner fails to comply with the Regulations the local authority will serve an improvement notice. If a park owner ignores the improvement notice they will be committing an offence.
