Government consults on the minimum energy standard for commercial rented property

Parks renting out commercial buildings in England and Wales may be affected by the Energy Efficiency (Private Rented Property) (England and Wales) Regulations 2015 (MEES Regulations) government consultation.

The consultation is seeking views on two alternative targets:

  • All commercial buildings to achieve a minimum EPC rating of B by 1 April 2030, if cost effective.
  • All commercial properties to achieve a minimum EPC of C by 1 April 2030, if cost effective.

More information on the consultation can be found here.
