Increases to rates and compensation from April 2015

Another year brings another increase in rates for family related leave, SSP and compensation.

Family Related Leave

As of 5 April 2015, statutory maternity, adoption, paternity, additional paternity and shared parental pay will increase to £139.58 a week.


From 6 April 2015, the weekly rate of statutory sick pay will increase to £88.45


Where the effective date of termination falls on or after 6 April 2015;

  • the maximum limit on a week’s pay will be £475.
  • the maximum compensatory award for unfair dismissal will be £78,335.
