Make a Will with Tozers Solicitors LLP and donate your fee to Rowcroft Hospice

Defending a challenge to a Will

Solicitors at Tozers in Devon are giving up their time for free during ‘Make a Will Week’ (16 – 20 May 2016) to support Rowcroft Hospice. During this period Tozers’ Wills & Probate team will be waiving their fees in return for donations to Rowcroft Hospice in order to support patients who are receiving palliative and end of life care there.

Since 2010, lawyers at Tozers in Exeter, Teignmouth and Newton Abbot have raised approximately £10,000 for the Rowcroft Hospice by supporting their Make a Will Week. This local charity relies heavily on public goodwill as its annual expenditure is £6 million and two thirds of this amount is received through fundraising. The other third is funded by the NHS.

Sue Halfyard of Tozers says: “We all want to secure the financial future of our loved ones but there are often many pressing tasks that get in the way of making a Will. Helping to raise funds for Rowcroft Hospice is the additional feel-good incentive to tick this item off your to-do list.”

In Britain today, approximately 61% of adults have still not made a Will and the Crown swallows many millions of pounds every year in unclaimed estates.  After major life changes such as getting married, moving house, having a baby or getting divorced, it is important to ensure you have an up-to-date Will.
