New Guidance on Hedgerow Protection

Natural England has recently published new guidance on the management of protected hedgerows described in the Hedgerows Regulations 1997. The guidance will be useful to any holiday or residential park with hedgerows to which these Regulations might apply. The recently published guidance provides useful clarification on the meaning of a protected or important hedgerow, and explains further the information a Local Planning Authority will require for an application to remove hedgerows.

The guidance can be found at https://www.gov.uk/guidance/countryside-hedgerows-regulation-and-management
