Amy is a partner who specialises in planning and public sector matters within the firm’s parks team. Prior to joining Tozers, Amy worked as a planning solicitor in a local authority for several years having previously trained at a leading law firm in London.
Amy has acted on a broad range of planning matters including section 106 obligations for commercial and residential developments including affordable housing; the formulation of planning applications and planning appeals, lawful development certificates; listed buildings and conservation areas; tree preservation orders; environmental impact assessments; enforcement cases including injunctions; Judicial Review; and advocacy in public inquiries. Other public sector work includes footpath diversions, licensing and environmental health cases. She has also advised Town and Parish Councils on a variety of matters including neighbourhood plans, the Localism Act; contracts; charitable trusts, disclosable interests and property-related matters.
