Expertise

Amy trained at Tozers before qualifying as a solicitor into her role working with corporate, charity and school clients. With over 8 years post qualification experience, Amy has specialist charity law knowledge with a particular interest in safeguarding matters for schools and charity clients.

Amy is well positioned to advise on all aspects of corporate work for charities, schools and companies, including mergers and acquisitions, incorporations and academy conversions. She has a strong track record and focus relating to corporate transactions and governance across those sectors.

Centred on making things simple for clients whilst adding value through her sector specific knowledge, Amy always has the best outcome for clients in mind.

“In the main, all parties in corporate and non-contentious charity matters are seeking the same ultimate goal, whether it be buying or selling a business or registering a new charity. Our role is to assist our clients in achieving that with the minimum of fuss and on the best terms possible.”

Some of Amy’s recent work includes;

  • Simultaneous conversion of 35 maintained schools in Devon, Dorset and Cornwall to academy status within one Multi Academy Trust
  • Constitutional, governance and training support for a large local health and well-being charity
  • Negotiation of high value maintenance and repair works contracts for a registered social housing provider

Amy qualified as a solicitor in 2011.
