Planning Applications

Woman handing Tozers business card to man

Planning permission is generally required to carry out development, whether this involves starting building works or undertaking a material change of use of your land.

The application process includes submitting details and plans of the proposed development to your Local Planning Authority (LPA) who will then decide whether to grant or refuse permission.  Sometimes the application will be determined by a committee of local councillors at a public meeting.  The length of time that the application process takes is dependent on the complexity of the development proposal.  Some applications will be determined within 8 weeks.  Others can take several months.  Our specialist planning team can help you to put together your application and liaise with the LPA while it is being determined.  We can also represent you at council meetings when your application is being considered by councillors.
