“Buying and developing sites presents different challenges for each client. It’s very important to get to know each client’s concerns and priorities so that matters progress quickly and efficiently and clients achieve their desired outcome in their preferred timescale. I want to ensure that clients are kept fully informed at every stage of the process and I do this by taking a pro-active approach with other parties to the transaction. We work closely as a team so that we are always available to deal with queries.”

Deborah is a Partner in Tozers’ Affordable Housing team, dealing with a variety of property transactions for affordable housing provider clients. Developing strong relationships by getting out of the office to meet clients, Deborah makes the time to fully understand new developments, whilst also investing in personal relationships with various stakeholders within a client’s organisation.

Her expertise revolves around site acquisitions, site set ups and onward sales, commercial leases and refinancing. Having trained at Tozers, Deborah qualified as a Solicitor in 2008 and has worked in Commercial Property since that time. Deborah has developed a particular specialism in development work, having led the New Homes residential property team from 2013 to 2018.

Working closely with colleagues within the Affordable Housing team, Deborah is generally involved at the front end of transactions dealing with the acquisition of sites. Deborah also deals with setting up of site documentation alongside Sarah Brimilcombe and Megan Lindsay-Bush who then also deal with onward plot sales.

Deborah also sits on Tozers’ graduate and trainee recruitment committee where she takes pride in supporting young lawyers looking to develop their careers.
