Promotions at Tozers LLP
Tozers LLP is pleased to announce that Melanie Burton, Julia Knight and Simon Mansfield have all been promoted to partners.
Melanie Burton works in the holiday & residential parks team advising park owners on a wide range of issues including claims in the First-tier Tribunal and general contract disputes. Melanie started her career at Tozers in 2007 and was promoted to associate in 2016. Over the years, Melanie has assisted clients in successfully bringing claims in relation to disputed pitch fee reviews as well as defending breach of contract and Consumer Rights Act claims.
Julia Knight joined the firm in 2015, she is an experienced commercial property solicitor, who deals with a wide range of commercial property work. This includes acquisitions and disposals of business premises (including by way of conditional contracts, option and promotion agreements), the taking and granting of new leases, portfolio management and secured lending. Julia acts for a range of clients from sole traders to large corporate entities.
Simon Mansfield trained at Tozers having joined the firm in 2009 and became an associate in 2014. Simon conducts clinical negligence cases on behalf of claimants who have suffered negligent medical treatment across all areas of medicine. He was appointed, in November 2017, to the Law Society Panel’s prestigious Clinical Negligence Panel (an accreditation scheme for lawyers who have demonstrated particular experience and knowledge in handling the complexities of clinical negligence law). In addition to conducting clinical negligence claims Simon also has experience of representing bereaved families at inquests.
These promotions coincide with the retirement of partner Richard King bringing the total number of partners in the firm to 25.
