MIND in Exeter and East Devon is a local and independent charity promoting emotional and mental wellbeing. They aim to challenge the stigma and discrimination surrounding mental health while at the same time empower individuals through positive recovery focused services and projects in a supportive, safe and responsive manner.
On receiving the news, Ruth Wells, CEO of MIND Exeter and East Devon commended the firm’s fundraising efforts:
“Wow. That’s amazing and will make such a difference to us. Your staff team are incredible. I don’t have words to adequately express our gratitude. The number of people who are reaching out to us seems to grow every day and this will enable us to keep picking up the phone, and being by their side. You’ve saved lives.”
As well as the Tozers very first Family Fun Day, other fundraising activities included; Meditation Mondays, cake bakes, book sales, quiz sheets and Tough Mudder.
The total sum of £8,070 to date has not only supported MIND’s Peers Network Service but has also enabled Tozers to reach a goal that was set at the beginning of 2017 – to raise £50,000 in total since the CSR committee was formed in 2011.
Endurance Arthur, partner and chair of the CSR committee comments:
“We are delighted to have had another successful year of fundraising for our charity of the year. We would like to give a special thanks to Ruth Wells and all the team at MIND Exeter and East Devon, it has been a pleasure working with them all this past year. We are especially pleased to hear that the sums raised for MIND’s Peers Network Service means that people in need can receive more immediate mental health support and advice which they would otherwise have to go on a waiting list for. We wish the team all the best for 2018.”
