Tozers meet with Commodore of Lympstone Sailing Club
Nick Conner, Gráinne Staunton, Caroline Ryan, Martin Laver and Rachel Elliott of Tozers Solicitors LLP’s Exeter office met with Judith Carter – the Commodore of Lympstone Sailing Club – and Lesley Anderson of the Exe Regatta Committee this week to receive their plaque for being gold sponsors of the Exe Regatta 2016.
The Regatta takes place on the River Exe Estuary on 16 and 17 July 2016 and sailors from across the South West compete in it. Every summer the four sailing clubs – Lympstone, Topsham, Starcoss and Exe – that lie scattered around the shores of this stunning stretch of water come together in the River Exe Regatta, each club taking it in turns to host and organise the event. This year the Exe Regatta is hosted by Lympstone Sailing Club there will be a big party on the Saturday evening (16th July) and a prize-giving party on the Sunday afternoon (17th July). The Carnaby Street Band will be playing from 8pm on 16 July and a BBQ will be in action from 7pm on Saturday at Lympstone Sailing Club.
Most of the regatta revolves around dinghy racing, although there is also cruiser racing offshore. Caroline Ryan of Tozers comments: “It was lovely to meet Judith and Lesley at Lympstone Sailing Club this week and receive our sponsorship plaque. As well as looking forward to the Regatta itself we are also eagerly anticipating the launch event on 29 April at Lympstone Sailing Club. The Regatta party on 16 July also promises to be a fun evening with dancing and a live band.”
