Tozers Solicitors LLP fondly remembers former partner Michael Hender
Michael Hender, who was a partner of Tozers solicitors from 1970 until his retirement in 1998, sadly died on 20 September, at the age of 78, after a long battle with cancer. Michael had managed Tozers’ then Dawlish office, where he carried on a traditional mixed practice of mostly conveyancing and probate work.
Richard King, chairman of Tozers solicitors comments: “Ever the gentleman, Michael commanded huge respect from his partners and colleagues, as well as from his many devoted clients, for the urbane charm and wisdom with which he gave his advice.”
As one member of Tozers staff said on hearing the news: ‘Lovely man, always used to stop and speak and always remembered a person by name. Very sad news.’ That just about sums him up. Our thoughts go out to Michael’s family, and to those of the firm who had worked so closely with him.
Michael’s funeral is to be held at Compton Pauncefoot at 2pm on Thursday 6th October 2016.
