Updated guidance for trustees

Accounts

The government’s guidance for trustees on the independent examination of charity accounts has been updated and can be viewed here.

James Evans, Head of Charities at Tozers, comments: “It is important reading for trustees of charities which are required to have an independent examination of their accounts. A large proportion of charities fall within this bracket. This applies to most charities having an annual gross income of more than £25k but less than £1m and are not otherwise required to have their accounts audited, for example because their governing document requires it (or because they have income over £250k and gross assets of over £3.26m).”
