Building a legal career together

Our trainees are important to Tozers; many of our partners trained with us. We appreciate that our trainees are part of the future of the firm, and we are dedicated to ensuring that we work together to enable you to flourish during your training and beyond.

Our graduate programme is designed to be both challenging and rewarding. We will support you with training and experiences to allow you to progress your career in a way that works for you. You will work closely with clients, partners, experienced lawyers and others in your team.

Who you are

There is no perfect formula for a Tozers' trainee. Whilst academic performance is important, we are also looking for personal potential.

We highly value skills and attributes which demonstrate a determination to succeed, self and commercial awareness and a strong work ethic. You will be able to demonstrate these attributes to us in the activities you have undertaken and skills you have acquired both inside and outside your academic journey.

We are looking for those who have an ability to communicate, are adaptable with a willingness to take the challenges that come with a career in law and are open-minded and personable; tackling the tasks given to you head-on with drive, resilience and empathy whilst being proactive will be essential.

Who we are

Our values shape the culture of the firm: high quality work, healthy growth and happy teams.

Tozers is committed to doing business responsibly.

  • We strive to be an inclusive and flexible working environment, where everyone is supported, given opportunities to reach their potential and where their contribution is recognised.
  • We collaborate with our communities to promote social value.
  • We continue to make positive changes to the way we work to minimise the impact on our environment.

What we offer

Our trainees have the opportunity to experience four key areas of law, typically spending six months on each. We offer stimulating high-quality work and early responsibility so that you can obtain real experience in each area of law.  Your preferences and abilities are considered alongside the needs of the firm with a flexibility to ensure your programme of training is tailored to you as far as possible. A bursary may be available to successful applicants.
