Dulverton Literary Festival

Tozers are once again proudly sponsoring The Dulverton Exmoor Literary Festival this year.

The festival will take place from Friday 13 to Monday 16 November 2026, bringing another inspiring programme of author talks, book readings and literary discussions to Dulverton. Now in its fifth year, the festival continues to grow in popularity and 2026 also marks the National Year of Reading, making this year’s event particularly special.

This year’s line-up includes an impressive range of speakers, including Michael Morpurgo, Julia Samuel, Patrick Gale, Mary Keen, Paul Mason, Victor Mallet, Iain Dale, Emily Howes, Jonathan Dimbleby, David Coggins and Rachel Hore, with many more to be announced.

Events will once again be held across a number of well-loved venues in the town, including Dulverton Town Hall, All Saints’ Church, Dulverton Heritage Centre, Dulverton Library, Tarr Farm Inn and The Bridge Inn, creating a vibrant festival atmosphere across the community.

Following the success of last year’s inaugural Schools Day, the festival will be repeating this dedicated event for young readers as part of the National Year of Reading. The popular Children’s Story Corner at The Bridge Inn will also return, alongside the growing Children’s Writing Competition, continuing the festival’s commitment to encouraging a love of reading and writing for all ages.
