Together for Good: Tozers’ Fundraising for Hospiscare
Posted on
We have proudly raised £1,743.50 for Hospiscare this year, which is a testament to the generosity, spirit, and community commitment of everyone involved. Every pin knocked down, every scone enjoyed, and every quiz question debated has brought us closer to a meaningful impact.
We pledged to raise £1,000 this year, which we have almost doubled, and we still have six months to go!
Work Hard, Bowl Hard
In June, colleagues swapped case files for bowling balls in a night of high-stakes, high-spirited competition, all in support of Hospiscare. With colleagues representing teams in Cashiers, Wealth Management, Registered Providers, Litigation, Parks, and HR, it was a night to remember. The fundraising total was £240!

Strengthening Our Support
In August, we caught up with Katie Arscott from Hospiscare to reflect on our journey as part of the 40 Club and to look ahead at what’s next.
We spoke about the charity’s incredible support services, which span more than 1,000 square miles across Devon, and the vital care they provide to people in the comfort of their own homes. Their work is truly inspiring, and we’re proud to play a small part in supporting it.
We’re also celebrating that our very own Sophie Palk has been shortlisted for the Community Spirit Award at the National Paralegal Awards next month in recognition of her dedication to our fundraising efforts for Hospiscare.

High Tea, Higher Impact
What started as a cream tea delivery at the end of August turned into a full-blown high tea experience, all for a good cause! Our “Scones & Support” charity initiative saw beautifully curated boxes of goodies delivered across the firm, raising an impressive £204!
Each box was packed with delicious treats, from classic scones with jam and cream to a selection of sweet surprises that elevated the experience to high tea status. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with many colleagues praising the thoughtful touches and the opportunity to enjoy a moment of indulgence while supporting a meaningful cause.
This initiative wouldn’t have been possible without the generosity of our sponsors, who kindly donated items and helped us create such a special experience. Thank you to the Bake House, Luders Bakery, and our very own Layla Medworth’s Mum!
A huge thank you to everyone who ordered a box, spread the word, and supported us. Your support makes a real difference, and we’re already thinking about what we can serve up next.
Brains & Benevolence
On 4 September, we hosted a multi-round quiz for Hospiscare and St Petrock’s. From brain-teasing trivia to our toe-tapping music round, it was more than just a test of knowledge; it was a celebration of community. Colleagues, friends, and family came together for an evening of fundraising. We raised £741 to be split between the two charities!
Thank you to Ludo Exeter for providing the space, our £100 first-place quiz voucher, and a bottle of whisky for the best team name. We are also very grateful to have received raffle prizes from:
· Exeter Chiefs
· Dartmouth Steam Railway and River Boat Company
· Seaton Tramway
· St Austell Brewery
Of course, we have so many more exciting upcoming plans, and we look forward to seeing you all at the next Hospiscare event!
