During Action for Brain Injury Week, Helena Campbell, Associate in our Medical Negligence department, in discussion with Tamsin Trollope, talks about her daughter’s traumatic brain injury. 

Helena explains that, in 2016, at 3 years old, Ava suffered a fall from standing, which resulted in a fractured skull and large bleed to the brain.  You can learn more about her journey in this insightful video, which is part one of a mini series.

We follow the latest findings from England’s healthcare regulator who have reported that the declining safety levels in maternity units across the country continue to be cause for concern. Recent analysis by the BBC of Care Quality Commission (CQC) reports revealed that two thirds of maternity care units are not safe enough.
