Rachael Jones

“As a newly qualified solicitor specialising in parks transactions and planning matters, I aim to provide a thorough and practical service to all our clients. I enjoy the variety of my work and being able to help clients achieve their goals.”

Rachael has recently completed her training contract with Tozers and is now a newly qualified solicitor. Rachael works in the Parks Transactions and Parks Planning team.

Rachael assists on a wide range of transactional property matters, including sales, purchases, leases and wayleave agreements.  

Alongside this Rachael assists the Planning team, in particular advising local authorities on section 106 agreements for commercial and residential developments.

As a newly qualified solicitor, Rachael is consistently working to develop her experience within the Parks team and is looking forward to building working relationships with clients. 

Prior to joining Tozers, Rachael graduated from UWE Bristol with a 1st Class Law Degree and achieved a distinction LPC LLM from University of Law.

Abandonment of Existing Use of Property

In an appeal determined in August 2023 the Planning Inspector considered whether the use of a former Oast house had been abandoned. The appeal against the refusal to grant planning permission for the repair and reinstatement of the four kiln former Oast house was dismissed.

Work Experience at Tozers

On 24th July, Tozers welcomed two work experience students, Charlotte and Jack, for a one-week in-person placement at our Exeter office. The week provided a useful insight into the workload of junior fee earners across a variety of contentious and non-contentious seats.
