Sophia is a Paralegal in the Affordable Housing team, where she assists with a range of residential property transactions, including shared ownership resales, staircasing, lease extensions and plot sales.
She regularly manages shared ownership resale matters and supports colleagues with transactions from start to finish. Her day-to-day work includes drafting documents and correspondence, liaising with clients, housing associations, agents, solicitors and management companies, and helping to ensure transactions progress smoothly.
Sophia enjoys the variety of her role and the problem-solving involved in each matter. She particularly values the client-facing side of her work and the opportunity to build positive working relationships with both individual clients and other professionals involved in a transaction. Working with housing associations and individual clients also gives her an insight into the different perspectives and requirements involved in affordable housing transactions.
She takes a friendly and down-to-earth approach when working with individual clients, helping to make each stage of the conveyancing process as straightforward and manageable as possible.
Before joining Tozers, Sophia worked for a high street firm in Cornwall for two years. During this time, she gained experience in residential conveyancing before moving into family law, where she assisted with a range of public and private children matters.
Sophia graduated from Cardiff University with an LLB in Law in 2021, achieving a 2:1, and completed her LPC at the University of Law's Exeter campus in 2022.
Outside work, Sophia enjoys going to the gym, running and playing netball. She also enjoys travelling, spending time with friends and making the most of the coast, including sea swimming.
